I want to upgrade RAM in my system to see if i can get the new 2GB sticks and throw two of them in my machine to move it up to over 4GB. But i dont know if my RAM ports on my Mobo support the right pins i need. I hope this makes sense cause last time i made this error and bought the wrong memory. I tried to use EVEREST to look it up but i didnt see anything that helped, maybe you guys can help?

Are you going to upgrade to a 64-bit OS? Otherwise stick with what you have and save your money as 32 bit OSs only see about 3.3 gig or so.

I didnt think my Processor could handle a 64bit as its a pentium 4, I was just hoping to make two boxing in the game, EverQuest 2 a little easier, its always choppier on the second game that i run.

Nope, more memory won't help you then.

DDR2 desktop modules are 184-pin, just like DDR.

Augie is right, you're not going to see any performance difference going from 3GB to 4GB in a 32-bit OS, because your game isn't choppy because of lack of RAM. It's choppy because you're dual-boxing on a single-core CPU. Replacing one of your 1GB modules with two identical 512MB ones might actually make a difference though, since the 512MB's would run in dual channel. but probably not enough of one to make it possible for you to dual-box without lag.

Thanks for Replies Guess ill just do what ive been doing and save up to upgrade. Although now im curious to ask if my MoBo can support a dual processor?

Stupid computers if u want to upgrade one thing, need to upgrade it all :(

Well, you did buy a Dell... they are not upgrade-friendly. This particular one only lists Pentium 4 as the supported processor type in the manual I found on support.dell.com, so based on that I'd say no, you cannot add a dual-core CPU. Sorry.
