I have run through the process you have listed in the Read And Run This First section, but I still have malware on my computer that the Panda Scan didn't disinfect. I will post what log files I have for you. Please inform me what I need to do, keeping inmind that I am a complete idiot when it comes to this stuff! Thanks!

You must follow ALL steps in the READ ME. This is not the first time this was explained to you. You did not even install HijackThis correctly and you already had that done properly last time. See step 7 of the READ ME.

You did not do step 0 of the READ ME. If you had, the following would not be running:
    C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Viewpoint Manager\ViewMgr.exe

Also you did not complete step 6 (Bitdefender) nor did you attach your CounterSpy log.

You are also running MSconfig. Again see step 7 of the READ ME.

Also one of the last times you were here (see http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=77846 ) I gave you a link to the How to Protect yourself from malware! thread and you were having problems updating Windows. It appears that you never updated. You will always have problems until you get updated. It would seem to me that perhaps your copy of Windows XP is not valid and you need to purchase a valid license.

You also have no antivirus, no antispyware, and no firewall applications installed. You cannot safely run a PC like this. You must complete all steps in the How to protect thread and leave these protections in place.

The last time I was on here was for my computer.....I'm now trying to fix my daughters computer that had been crashing constantly. I put a new motherboard, ram, power supply, etc. ....everything but the hard drive! I tried to run Seatools diagnostic on the Seagate drive, but it crashed right at the end of the test everytime! I figured I would try this to remove malware, if there were any, and see if that was the problem before I wipe this drive clean, or buy a new one!

As for my copy of Windows XP, I have a legal, corporate version installed on ALL my computers and have no problems updating. I must have reverted back to an earlier date for why it needs to be updated. Like I said, the drive kept crashing and I have been trying everything short of trashing it and throwing it through a window to this point! I didn't want a bunch of stuff loaded on there that would make things worse and bog down the computer further.

I must have forgotten to post the log file for counterspy, and I DID run bitdefender in the order that was listed! It was very late last night when I did this, and posted this very early this morning, so I must have forgotten the log file. Sorry!

BTW....MY computer has been running flawlessly since I posted on here before, so I know that you are right when you say follow all the steps! I'm just going crazy right now with an 11 year old daughter who is getting out of school in 4 days, bugging me everyday about her computer that is on the fritz! I'll try to run the steps again, and see what happens! Thanks again for the help!

Oh and BTW....her computer hasn't crashed since I ran all the steps! The reason I posted this message was that the Pandascan file said that the computer was still infected with malware, and wanted me to purchase thier program to disinfect it properly. THATS why I came to you guys! I don't want to spend more money on something that doesn't work anyway....I fell for that in the past! Thanks again!:)

There is not too much of concern in your Panda log except the below. One file it disinfected the othe two you can just delete manually. The others are just cookies in some folders created by scandisk or chkdsk which points towards hard disk error problems.
There is nothing in your HJT log of concern other than what I point out before: Viewpoint Manager

And also the fact the the OS is not updated and there is no protection software.

If you are having hard disk problems, you should post in the Hardware Forum.

I'll delete those things manually from the computer, update Windows, and install Avira Antivir like the other computer!

Thanks again Chas! Always helpful, as usual! You guys are great!:)
