Need Help Removing Suspected Virus/Malware, Please!

Can anyone help me remove a file I suspect has a virus or malware? The file is the only file located in a folder on my computer after I uninstalled Age of Empires III. My son downloaded it from a P2P network and I can't get rid of it. When I run certain virus scanners (Ad-Aware, Spy Sweeper, etc.,) or try to delete or look at it's properties, it locks up my hard drive by cycling in the same spot. Most of the time, the only way to stop it is to reboot with the power switch. The file name is gun_stonethrower_03t listed as a Microsoft Serialized Certificate, 85 KB. It's location is C:\My Downloads\Microsoft - Age of Empires 3 (Full PC Game)\Data\textures. I've tried everything I can think of for months and no luck. Any help you can provide will be appreciated.
