Need Help To Remove Myway.com

    I believe this was added on when I was searching for bus route information where I live, I must have clicked on something I shouldn't have. Ever since, on Mozilla firefox browser, it changes the second tab to Myway.com and my computer is not right at all now.

    Please attach the requested log from MGtools which is the C:\MGlogs.zip file. You may also find it on your Desktop.

    Also please remain in one thread. Your TDSSKiller log could have been posted in this thread in a new message. :)

    Also please run the below.

    Please download Junkware Removal Tool to your desktop.
    • Shut down your protection software now to avoid potential conflicts.
    • Run the tool by double-clicking it. If you are using Windows Vista, Win7, 8 or 10, right-mouse click it and select Run as Administrator.
    • The tool will open and start scanning your system.
    • Note: That JRT may reset your home page to a google default so you will need to restore your home page setting if this happens.
    • Please be patient as this can take a while to complete depending on your system's specifications.
    • On completion, a log (JRT.txt) is saved to your desktop and will automatically open.
    • Attach JRT.txt to your next message.

    You're welcome. Your MGlogs.zip file is extremely incomplete. Are you having a problem running it? Are you letting it finish running before attaching the log?

    Run RogueKiller again and it the below item still exists in Web Browsers, you can have RogueKiller delete it:

    When I run MGtools, I get errors saying access denied and a box pops up continuously no matter how many times I click yes for it to continue. What can I do to help this program run completely?

    Have you turned off UAC and re-booted? Are you running the tools from an account with Administrative privileges?

    Yes you need to do these but also when you run it you need to right click on MGtools.exe and select Run As Administrator.

    Ok I toggled the UAC, rebooted and ran the MGtools as the admin. Here is the log. Thank you again for your guidance. I am barely able to use this as it slows down and freezes and I am so close to smashing it lol.

    Please tell me I don't need a new laptop (?)

    MGtools is still not running completely. The ZIP file you attached only had the very first log out of more than 15 scans in it. Are you seeing any error messages? Are you waiting for it to tell you that it has finished running? Or does it start and then quickly disappear? It can take 10 to 20 minutes to run depending on how many other things you are running at the time. I don't see any reasons in your other logs for having this kind of problem. Your PC was clean other than the junk Malwarebytes already removed and that one item we had RogueKiller fix.
