Need Help- Trojan Dialer.11.AI Removal

    My Avg anti virus has told me I have a Trojan dialer. It will not heal it or remove it to the virus vault.Here is the information that came up after the scan: File: explorer.exe
    Result:Trojan horse Dialer.11.AI
    Path:C:\explorer.cab
    As of yet I am not expiriencing any problems with my dial up internet service and nothing else on my computer has changed. How can I get rid of this thing?

    The short answer. Boot in safe mode and delete c:\explorer.cab.

    You could have other problems though so the proper procedure is to please follow all the steps in this Sticky thread < READ ME FIRST BEFORE ASKING FOR SUPPORT: Basic Spyware, Trojan And Virus Removal >

    If you already have any of the programs linked in the tutorial please double check your version to make sure you have the latest one and that you have any/all updates for the programs.

    NOTE: In order to resolve the issues you are having it is very important that you at least try to perform all the steps as outlined. If you have any difficulty please post back letting us know what steps you have completed, what you found while doing the scans if anything and details about any problems you have encountered in completing the steps. The more details you can provide the better.

    I deleteted explorer.cab in safe mode as you suggested,re scanned, and the dialer is gone. I will go to READ ME FIRST and followthe steps. I thought my computer was well armed (AVG,Spyware Blaster,Spybot,Ad-Aware,CWShredder,Trojan Remover),but I see now that further steps should be taken. Thanks for your help!
