   I have been using easy cleaner for some time now.I just did the update and I think it said to remove my version and then install the new updated one,is this the right way to do it?

   Yeah, you can uninstall and reinstall or you just do the install over the existing.
   
   I dont uninstall, I just do the install over the existing one.
