I want to upgrade my old nvidia 5200 graphics card...I have a :
    2.4 pentium 4
1 GB of 3200 ddr ram
    80 GB hard drive
    windows xp sp2

I looking at getting either the ATI X800PR0 or the Nvidia 6800 series...but i want to know if i have enough processing chip power for these cards? And if, so which of these cards would be good for gaming.

No need to post the same question in different forums, be patient.

 You Should Have Enough Cpu Power,And I Would Say Get The ATI Card Because I Think There Faster Then Nvidia.

They are not, for every NVidia card there is an ATI card, period.

I have the GeForce Go 6800 Ultra, and it works like a charm. Never really used the ATI cards though...

There both really good cards. Both will run the latest games on full settings.

The x800 is cheaper then the 6800. Preformance wise I am not realy sure but it seems like their very close, so maybe the ati card is a better value

I've always relied on the ATI Radeon series. I recently changed my Nvidia AGP to a Radeon 9500 AGP with 256MB RAM. It's sweet, and a vast improvement over the Nvidia, even if it is an older card.

I agree 100% ATI is the way to go!
