need some suggestions please!

hi there guyz

look i want to get a half decent card for my comp,
i was wanting to get a ATI 9800 Pro,
will i notice any difference between the 256mb and the 128mb series?

and also it the 6600GT better than the 9800 Pro?

both cards are fairly cheap but i am still undecided on what to buy

any suggestions welcome

there are a lot of advantages for getting a 256 mb card. if it is for gaming, it looks really nice graphincs on your monitor. you will notice a difference in quality.

 

I would reccomend the 6600gt Nvidia has the best drivers and I think the 6600gt is a bit better, I have a 6600gt and it performs fine, sometimes I wish I had a 7800gt so I could play games at ultra quality, but on normal settings everythign I have played works great with the 6600gt. I don't know about memory, I have the 128mb and I would assume that 256mb could make quite a difference, go for it if it isn't too much of an increase in price.
