    I was coming to help man. I went thru the same thing. Great printer tho. Is yours the color version? I have the LaserJet 5L. It's an older model, but it works perfect.

    5m standard. I totally forgot that it really isn't the firmware for the printer, it's the firmware for the jet direct card that I needed. I got it solved.. thanks anyway :)
