Need to remove PC Shield Deluxe 2008

Does the following reply post instructions apply to removal of the antivirus PC Shield Deluxe 2008 on vista operating system? It is time to renew and I want to get rid of it. it seems that 2008 has corrupted the program admn password so I can not make changes, pause or shut down the program to remove using uninstall.

Yes that program is a rogue tool that you do not want on your PC.

2. If you have problems downloading on the problem PC, download the tools on another PC and burn to a CD. Then copy them to the problem PC. You will have to skip getting updates if (and only if) your internet connection does not work. Yes you could use a flash drive too but flash drives are writeable and infections can spread to them.
