Alright, Nero 7, Windows and any other program I tried won't let me burn any discs with my DvD-R.
I saved the Log.txt file from Nero 7 and Im including it in the post, but I'll post the Errors I saw in it.

How do I fix this? To me it looks like some kind of error with preparing the files to burn, but I really wouldn't know.

The first few things I can think of are to re-install Nero, check your BIOS settings and maybe load the 'failsafe default' settings, maybe check with Pioneer for a possible firmware upgrade or to see if they have known issues with that model, try the drive in another PC if possible, try the drive on a different IDE channel and/or use a new data cable. Run an in-depth memory diagnostic through at least 3 or 4 passes.
    Good luck!

(maybe contact an admin or forum moderator about editing your Nero serial number out of the attachment. I would have PMed this but you have your PM turned off)

The last line of the nero log shows this:

    Registry Keys:
    HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\WinLogon\AllocateCDROMs : 0 (Security Option)

You could try changing the value to 1 or enable and see if this makes a difference.

Well I uninstalled Nero 7 and downloaded CDburnerXP, I checked into Registry setting AllocateCDROMs and set it to 1, that made it so I couldnt even read the drive, I haven't opened up the case to check the Drive or cables because it still reads and I recorded a DvD before on it and it is less than a year old, also I've only used to burn twice. The Bios and it was fine, I loaded the updated firmware, I tried to burn a CDR just to test it and that one gave me a Incorrect Medium error. Is it possible it's a problem with my XP? If so does anyone know what Info I would need to post to find out?
