How to install "NETGEAR WIRELESS ROUTER WPN824 v3" without the CD.

What kind of Internet connection are you using? It may matter for the connection of the Router.

I'm unable to find the contents of the CD but I found this

Make sure after you have it set up you change the user name and password.

 

I have dsl. 192.168.1.1 does not bring me to a login page.

 

You don't NEED the CD to setup the Router, it just makes it a little easier for some people.

If you purchased the Router used, it was probably setup by someone else. To do a factory reset of the unit, press and hold the reset button for 15 second, then release it an wait until the Test light stops blinking.

You should now be able to log in to the Router at http://192.168.0.1 with the Username: admin and the Password: password if you connected to it. Be sure to change the password for security once your logged in.

For the connections, the Router WAN or Internet port connects to your DSL Modem and the other 4 ports would connect to whatever hardware you have that uses a wired connection. The Wireless can be configured for security through the user interface at http://192.168.0.1
