Network troubles (Maybe DNS)

Hello,

I am using a Lenovo G530 running Windows 7 Professional.
Lately, I've been having my internet cut out on me periodically.

The only way to fix this (that I know of) is to do an ipconfig release and renew.

It all started after I installed something called TreewalkDNS a few months ago. I have since stopped using that program, but my problems continue. I have already tried uninstalling my network adapter and reinstalling it. i originally suspected my router settings to be at fault (what the problem would be, I have no idea), but now even with other networks, I have the same problem.

All of my DNS and IP settings are set to automatic.

I suspect the DNS because my MSN and Google Talk continue working, while my internet browser just stops. I use Chromium as my browser (a variant of
Google Chrome), but it stops for all browsers I use.

Does anybody know the problem?

 

Not sure if you just stopped using or have delete TreewalkDNS, if deleted it could have left stuff behind. This is a common problem with many add on programs. I have gotten into the habit of using Revo uninstaller which so far has done an excellent job of cleaning things up unlike the Microsoft uninstaller which leaves junk behind. Those bit and pieces cause problems, if you did do an uninstall you may have to reinstall it then use Revo. I had to do that on a buddies machine, no uninstaller can fine the left behinds of a deleted program/
