Have a 30GB boot drive and 60GB slave. Bought 300GB Maxtor. Used supplied MaxBlast4 software to format my 300GB as a replacement boot drive, following all instructions (have done it 3 times after some suggestions from Maxtor support). Then I set up 300GB as master and removed the 30GB. When I start up it stops at the point where boot is supposed to happen. BIOS recognizes 300GB HDD, Maxtor Powermax diagnostics passes. Tried setting up from scratch rather than copyand was able to install Windows XP on the drive and boot successfully
