    Hi,
I recently purchased an ASUS Laptop and their booklet states it is best to use a recovery partition. 3 options are listed not sure which one to use.

    1. Recover Windows in first partition only. Deletes partition and allows u to keep other partitions, and to create a new system partition as drive "c"

    2. Recover Windows to entire HD. Deletes all partitions from your hard disk drive and creates a new system partition as drive "c"

    3. Recover windows to entire HD with 2 partitions. Deletes all partitions from your hard drive and creates two new partitions "C" (25%) and "D"(75%).

Any help to figure the best way to do this would be greatly appreciated since they do not list pros/cons on any choice.

Most lilely 3 however IMHO backing up to a partition has a huge flaw. If your hard drive fails then you lose it all. I like to have an image I can use on a second hard drive to be safe, if you can do it then please do that as well.
