new graphics board

Hi all ive been given one of these graphics cards

i see that it has a AGP X8 interface but my motherboard only has AGP X2 interface
wiil it run ok or should i upgrade my motherboard (32mb intergrated intel graphics)

according to the link you provided on you motherboard, you don't have an AGP slot. I see it listed as 2x compliancy, but thats for the integrated chip. therefore, in order to use the card given to you, you would need to upgrade your motherboard to one that has an AGP slot. which means, you'll prob need to upgrade your processor and memory as well.

 

Yeah like said before that board has no AGP interface at all ; you can still run the card if your board had agp 4x. If you buy a new board you'd have to upgrade the processor ram and maybe even your hard drive (because im guessing its not very large based on that mobo spec)
