message is "no boot sector found on disc" The machine is a Dell insperion 8600. My old HD went out (Hitachi) so I got a new Fujitsu 80 gig, dropped it in the tray and now I don't know how to get it to boot up... what do I do? get a boot up disc? Burn one of a site? what? Then of course I have to try and re-install XP. I do have the disc.

    TIA mitch

Place your XP install disc in your CD/DVD drive, then format and install it on your new HDD!

You should then be able to boot into XP on the new drive.

    Regards.....
