Or was this board just doa. thanks again for the help

Not entirely sure here, but that board is running an nVidia chipset. I don''t know that your card will work or not.

Let one of the other "geeks" give their opinion on this before buying a new card.

    Hope this helps.

Im not sure that will help at all, I have no video whatsoever how am i suppsoed to upgrade the bios if i cant even see POST. Ive tried changing ram sticks, tried changing slots, tried moving the video card to a different PCI slot. I even tried changing the processors.

Do you mean nothing on the PC powers up (no fans no lights )POST code)
    Or
Can you get a video signal in bios or does your monitor remain completly blank?(light off or in standby(yellow)

Unplug your monitor cable does your screen display a loss of signal-eliminates monitor

    Change your monitor cable

Are you using the onboard video or are you trying to use a PCI/AGP card-if so try changing it in bios (assuming you can see that)

The PC will power up... I get Fans, Lights, and can even hear the HD Spin up. The Monitors will remain in standby, Im using a Visiontek Radeon 9250 PCI graphics card. the board has a Nvidia Chipset. There is no Onboard video. the monitors are fine, i checked them on a different computer. also a vid card is fine. checked it in a different machine also. is it possible that my ATI card is not compatable with the Nvidia Chipset, the board also has a PCI Express slot. is it mandatory that i use this slot insted of a standard PCI Slot. I Really am dumfounded about this matter.

I'm having the same problem, only my card worked up until I removed the cover to take out another card. This card was a temporay replacement for my last card which is being RMAd by the Manufacturer... which did the same thing. Both are ATI cards. My monitor displays no image, but when you disconnect the display cable, it shows "No signal". I also get no video post beep. I also tried removing and reseating the card, and then the memory to be on the safe side. My board is a Abit KN8 Sli with PCIx.

Bad cable perhaps? Tried switching the monitor from Analog to Digital or vice versa?

I suggest trying a different monitor. I had an Asus board with 512 and Xp2000cpu, I upgaded to a faster board and cpu but there were no graphics, after several hours of pulling my hair out I decided to try another monitor.....bingo! fired up perfectly. I tried the original monitor on other machines and had no probs. Only a suggestion, hope it helps.

it shouldnt matter that its an nvidia chipset and ati vid card. i had the same symptoms but no HDD spin-up=dead mobo (in my case). you're getting HDD activity so im not sure here. id try a diff monitor if you can

Ok, here's the latest- I got a new Mobo from Abit. I got a new video card from ATI. I got a new processor, and a new power supply just in case. I get it all together, and I still have no video or post beep. WTF?
