It has one of those glass sides with two fans in it and pretty lights so it's easy to see into it, and it makes a perfect nightlight, it's so pretty :)

This is my eighth computer.... or is it nine?? But anyway it is by far the fastest. This little old 2.4 AMD kicks the crap out of my 3.2 P-4 and all the others also. And I know what you mean about pinching yourself, I think I'd sleep with mine if the cord was long enough :)
All the other computers have old parts or no cases I have to share CD Roms etc... This one is complete and everything in it is new

Its absolutly amazing how fast this thing is. When I got my 3.2 I said wow but it seems like my old Athlon 2400 now. In the benchmarks I looked at the 3800 actually beat out the FX 51 in a few catogories and it beat all the intels in all the trials except one irrelevent one. I'm still agast. I'm going to get half life loaded on it tomorrow and see how it does compared to the 3.2 I don't know of any other way to test for differences between the two, do you?

well, i mainly like to do real world benchmarks. it's one thing to see how well it does in heavy loads that will be attained <1% of the time you're at the computer. it's another thing to test how well it will do in rigorous day-day use situations. i typically open up as many programs as i can possibly handle and see how well the computer handles it. although it's entirely subjective in that sense, that's exactly how i can tell if the computer is up to my standards of strength vs speed.

but of course, everyone's different. if you got that computer just for gaming, i'd load up 3dmark along with every game you would ever play on the computer and start benchmarking. or if you got it just to use pro/e, then get pro/e installed and time certain operations. you get the idea.

I notice that my system always beats the benchmarks they have at tomshardware .. i dunno why .. and even thought they always use a faster CPU

Probably because Toms hardware gets the first revisions of all the products with the first revision of drivers,by the time I get a product Toms hardware tested it months earlier Im not sure if release dates are the same in the US being from the UK,but companies seem to get thier boards to the reviewers as soon as possible and its not like they can do another review a few months later because the new stuff has come for review.

One more thing to remember is Tomshardware uses its own secret benchmarks "custom time demos"so companies cant optimize thier products to run them like 3d mark"nvidia"which scores can be increased with later driver revisions because they know exactly on which part of the test they are lacking.
