so, i got a new motherboard for my HP computer (HP Eureka3-GL8).

I hooked everything up correctly and so far i get 1 BSOD everytime i try to boot.

i did run a HDD surface test and it passed. i also ran memtest86+ which passed.

    any ideas?

    1. Try booting from a Linux CD or USB stick. If successful, it will pretty much rule out any issues with the board or memory.

    2. If Linux starts up properly, try a different HDD and reinstall Windows. I have run into several cases where chkdsk /f or a short Drive Self Test (SeaTools, Data Lifeguard, etc) gave the boot drive a false passing grade.

    Hope this helps. :)
