New Mouse Left Click Button Stops Working After 1-2 Minutes

This is on a new Microsoft IntelliMouse Optical 1.1a. Plugged it in and it worked fine. Then after a short while the left-click button stopped working. The other buttons and the scroll wheel seem to work fine. Tried a couple different USB ports and a different computer all with the same problem.

Any ideas how to trouble shoot this? Thanks.

 

I've had 3 Microsoft mice fail in a very short time.
You can assign another button to act as left click (use Microsoft mouse and keyboard center) or you can return to Newegg (if still under warranty) or simply call Microsoft and get an RMA- that's your best bet.
