New Palm Centro, battery only lasts 36 to 48 hours?

As you can guess from the title, I just got a Palm Centro.
The problem is that it needs to be charged every 1 1/2 to 2 days.

This thing is supposed to have 300 hours of stand-by time.

I barely know how to use it and don't play with it too much and it still goes dead.

Anyone else have one of these and/or a similar problem?

 

Absolutely. That is far and away my biggest complaint about the phone. It eats the battery like mad. Interestingly enough, you can email and surf the web ok, but as soon as you actually use it as a PHONE, it's even worse. I just charge it every night as I am going to sleep. It is pretty maddening, though.
