New System Dropping idle connections?

    So I just purchased and built a new system yesterday, got everything installed fine - but after loading win xp pro my system seems to drop internet connections randomly. At first it was just game update servers, but now it's games, ventrilo, IE but >>not<< firefox.

    I have no clue what might be happening. Any suggestions on what I should check for?

    So apparently if windows firewall is disabled it still does port blocking.

    :/
