Hey, I have a virus or something because upon startup I cannot get my desktop icons to load. The only thing that works is using ctrl+alt+del and going through task manager to run things. I can run some processes but not things like explorer.exe or control panel. The right click works everywhere except the background.
I've ran malwarebytes, kaspersky, combofix, hijackthis, everything...still no fix. Can someone please help me with this infection. So much thanks would be appreciated!!!

Are you able to boot to safe mode? Can you run our cleaning procedures that way?

You said you have run MBAM and ComboFIx, please attach those logs. If you can run MGTools.exe thru the task manager, attach that log as well (C:\MGLogs.zip).

The MBAM log won't be of any help. The last 5 scans have come up with nothing. I can run my computer in safe mode, but with no icons or explorer.exe. Basically it runs the same as it would now. Here is a combofix log I just ran below.

MBAM logs probably won't be of any help. The last 5 scans have come up with no infections detected. I can run my computer in safe modes; however, neither are any different than running it normally. Certain commands still won't work and the icons are still gone. The attachments are a ComboFix scan I ran about 10 minutes ago..let me know what you think.

Not seeing anything in those logs. I suggest that you try running this:
sfc /scannow and have your xp disc handy. Run it twice. If that does not work, you may need to do a repair installation.

    Let me know what happens.

Your AV program needs to be updated!!!
