/me pats his OpenBSD firewall which has patches out in a day for any security problem (which is not common because of ProPolice and other measures)

Hey Raider, let me ask you: If, on my next install, when I download the critical updates, can I save those to HDD, then copy them to cd, and use those updates again on my NEXT clean install after that, to save time? (I use a dial-up connection).
Also, would that kind of like be a "home-made" SP2 of sorts?
I'm new, so I really don't know if that is breaking some kind of Micro$oft Law or anything, either.
    Thanks

I'm telling you guys, one of these days... I'm going to have to see for myself if the open source stuff will really work ok!

You are free to copy them all you want and reuse them again on your next install. I am working on an XP Pro unattended CD with the hotfixes incorporated (see here).

Yep. Sure does save a 56k user a hell of a lot of time downloading. I Burned 'em to CD a long time ago... otherwise it'd take me close to 5 hours or more to download them all again. Phew!
