no sound after reinstall XP home

    hi

    i just installed xp home edition and the sound doesnt work. what drivers do i need to download. i have a dell dimesion 4300. also the screen isnt that smooth aswell. so please help this is urgentl

    Look in Control Panel>System>Hardware>Device Manager and it will show you what drivers you need.
    They will be the ones with yellow question marks.
    Make sure to install your Chipset driver first, even if you don't see it in Device Manager.
    Then use chaumjm's link to download them.
