No Sound Problems with Windows Sounds and Youtube??

    Hi all,

    I know a fair bit about computers and this one has got me!

    I can get sound from a Video on my Desktop that i downloaded but cannot get windows system sound or youtube sound to work.

    The windows system sound play button is also disabled???

    I have run all updates etc for windows, adobe etc..

    Anybody got an ideas.

    OK. I assume you are using onboard sound then?

    Check where you have the speaker jack plugged in. make sure it is in the green socket. Also make sure your drivers are up to date.
