No video output? can someone help?

    Hi there a quick question if there is anyone that could help me out. when i turn on my PC and then switch my moniter on it comes up no video output, ii checked all the wires on my moniter were plugged in which they were, still no luck. i turned off my pc for bout 30 mins then turned it back on and it worked, my moniter came on but it keeps doing the same thing. what could it be? is there a way to check if my graphics card it over heating, i just dont no thats why i was hoping someone here could help.

    Id be so greatfull for some advice

    Well, you have two choices ....either the video card or the monitor ....so if you can try a different monitor ...or that monitor on a different computer, that might narrow it down ....do you have on-board video output to try, instead of the card?

    no i dont have on board graphics i dont think, i have a radeon x700 card, is there a way of seeing if it is the card over heating?
