noise fans!?!?

alright well usually my computer turns on the fans when it gets hot.. like every other computer. But lately the fans seem to be going all the time.. its loud , getting a little bit anoying. Wondering what might be up?

i got a compaq presario 6350CA , its pretty old but.. its still runs quickly.

The fans just stoped when i only had 1 IE and msn messenger.. before i had couple IE windows opened and msn and the fans were going and the cpu usage was 100% now its like 26%.. is it possible to buy quiter fans.. or buy some upgrade to be able to do more things with less need of cpu usage to keep the fans from going.

 

If the pc is old, have you used a compressed air clean, lately ?
The fans could be loaded with dust, an fluf.
If your cpu fan stopped you will cook your psu.
New fans are quite cheap to buy, and easy enough to fit -

 

The other thing is to clear the page file, and cache.
Are you using XP ?
