Found another thread about this subject, but not quite what I was looking for.
    P4 Northwood and P4 Prescott.
    Both socket 478.
Are they interchangable in a system?
What, if any, problems could come from using the different type?
Not my normal field,so looking for an assist.
    Appreciate all responses.

that will depend on the motherboard. Some older socket 478's may not accept prescotts due to bios not supporting it.We would need more info on the motherboard to say for sure
