You may have a virus from someplace, but you didn't get it from that file. First off, Uniblue is one of the most respected names in the business and a leader in Malware removal - No way they would risk that sort of reputation with any nonsense.

That specific program I have running on the machine that I am typing with and it has no problems. Just to be safe, I downloaded and retested the program on a test machine - It's clean.

What makes you think virus? Did one of your scanners go off? Which one? What did it say you had?

We could try to do that if you would give us some system specs. It is very possible that you have a hardware issue. Or that the media you are using to install your OS has the virus.

If you are reinstalling, have you tried downloading any other software with the same issue?

Are you installing anti-virus software first?

What, other than having system problems, indicates the virus.....as asked, what sets this off?

You may notice the number of downloads from our site for that program.....and you are the first to have an issue with it. Perhaps that may be an indication that something else is amiss?

Sounds like the virus was already on your machine or network prior to installing Uniblue and scanning your machine may have simply activated the virus (or possibly a rootkit).

It doesn't sound like you are using any type of anti-virus program? That's playing with fire if you are a careless websurfer.

You had better check your other machines because it is likely that the virus resides on all of them. You will have to remove each machine from the network and inspect them individually, because if you don't any one of the infected machines will re-infect the clean machine that you re-connect to the network.

Frankly, it seems we did a LOT, we were just met with resistence, we even had the owners of the program here to help you. Im always confused why someone asks for help, then proceeds to ignore the help.

Anyway, any virus "hidden in the ram" would be removed on reboot, its not going to remain magically stuck to the RAM itself but rather into virtual memory, ie; on your hard drive. If at some point you could have told us what the malware or trojan was so we could have looked it up or given you some removal assistance, but you seemed to be in a hurry. You might look it up to see what you did that caused the problem. Google is your friend.

Consider running new software or anything your unsure of in a sandbox, for example http://www.majorgeeks.com/SafeSpace_d5851.html Anything run inside the box is virtual, not real, so if you caught some malware, it would go away when you close that session and not infect your actual PC.

    Good luck.

Hi,after reading the thread poster`s problem and several very helpful responses for the first time,it`s apparent the poster is blaming software obtained here for his/her dilemma. It`s apparent the software is fine and the poster picked up the virus somewhere else.
For what it`s worth, the poster mispells words and uses no puctuation which makes it somewhat difficult to understand.
Everyone who helpfully responded did a lot to help.

We all know some PC/VIRUS problems are very difficult to pin down and it seems to be the case here.

Thanks for clarifying that KingKing - as I said previously, Uniblue do not spread malware in any way. I'm glad that you managed to discover the source of your problem.
