What is the difference between XP's notepad and wordpad. I noticed that I can't enter code in wordpad and have it run.

Wordpad probably has embedded M$ stuff at the start of the document that is invisible to the user. This may be what stops it running for you. Toni's suggestion is probably the way to go. Bazza

WordPad has formatting options and whatnot, but its not all that good for creating scripts or HTML documents, etc.

    On the Toolbar:click Insert>Object>Create from a file>browse to & select your image>Click OK
Don't check the 'Link' or 'Display As Icon' boxes
You can resize the image if you want
Save your document as 'Rich Text Format (RTF)

If you want to Paste a pic in Wordpad you have to open the pic in your Graphics Editor....I use Irfan View

    Graphics | IrfanView 3.98

It's FREE and you'll LOVE it!
Just open the pic to want to 'convert' in Irfanview and save as the file type you need. It supports them all...even PING with the additions you can d/l at thier website.
