numerous running problems

I am now experiencing numerous problems with my pc.

Everything is running so sloooooow.

keyboard response - slow
boot up - very slow
internet -- SNAIL pace
booting up and running programs - SNAIL pace

Upon boot-up chkdsk opens up every time and finds
errors like orphaned files need replacing, data attributes etc.

A pop-up window comes up saying "File c:\windows\prefetch\lsass.exe -20db6d1b.pf is corrupt and unreadable. please run chkdsk.

I have tried to system restore and I have tried numerous dates but each time the window says "could not restore"

I have run AVG - no errors
Spybot - no errors
Adaware -no errors
CCleaner
Disk defrag

Do you want me to attach a hjt log.

Make sure you follow the suggestion that Windows gave you. Run a chkdsk.

Go to a command prompt, (cmd.exe), and type:

chkdsk /r

It will ask to schedule it on the next reboot. Say yes, and reboot your machine and let it complete. It will take some time, so try it when you have plenty of free time.
