OE Deleting and Switching Very Slow

    MS XP Media Center, IE 7 & OE 7

    After downloading MS Word 2007 trial version when trying to delete messages or switching from Inbox, Outbox or Deleted Items OE6 has become very slow, taking as long as 45 seconds and at times longer to delete or switch boxes.

    I uninstalled MS Word 2007 and did not help.

    Ran Bullgaurd didn't help.

    Many thanks to anyone that can help solve this problem.

    Solved it myself. The deleted folder had 316 deleted itmes. Deleted those items now it works perfectly

    I have my OE set to empty the Deleted Items folder upon exit, i.e. closing OE.
