When I run disk clean up,When I compress old file my PC does not like it.My temp. goes up,it runs about 46 norm. When I run disk cleanup it has set off my warning buzzer. This is the only time the buzzer has gone off.
Is there any way to see what files it's wanting to compress so maybe I can delete them if I'm not useing them any more.
I run disk cleanup about 3 or 4 times a week, it takes forever when I check compress old files.(well 5to 10 min. or so)
    Thank's in advance Chuck(my name)

You might have a cooling issue if that is all it takes to set off a warning.

That is more of a concern. What temp is the buzzer set to?

Also instead of using disc clean you could try using another cleaner that does not compress files.

Hipster Doofus ,Thanks for reply. It goes off at 60c.In disk cleanup, compress old files is the only thing that set's it off..I record dvd's and Movies. With no problems.
I'm running Gigabyte KB Triton,3800 AMD 1 gig of ram.
The heat sink and fan came with the cpu so it might be that.
My temp. right now is 33c.
    Thanks Chuck(my name)

Try CCleaner for a starter from this link, this app will remove a lot of JUNK files which you don't need:

Also this is one of the best MG pp.:

As far as compressing files I'll assume you are just trying to clear up disk space can you copy and remove some of the data of your system to give yourself more free HDD if that is the objective?!?

Thanks for your reply, I run cc cleaner, alot. Yes I can remove things from the HD, and do it that way, But what I was trying to do is see what files disk cleanup was trying to compress. I'll try another HD cleaner also see if that helps any Thanks Chuck
