    Hello

    I have 2 old computers.

I installed a pc analyser and for each of the computers it gave me weird answers.

The one halted on '00' and the other 'CE'

I have replaced ram cpu etc... with no effect.

And just 10 min ago it was working.

I had taken the cpu fan off to dust the dirt off it and put some more thermal paste on it doesn't work at all.

Please could someone help me sort these issues out.

    Thanks

How old are we talking here?

    Hello

    They are gigabyte mother boards.
As the pc won't even boot, I don't see why the operation system is necessary.

My analyser told me the issues but I have never had these issues before,

    Thanks.

    Hi

Ok Gigabyte boards but what model versions are they?
Have you changed the motherboard battery for a new one and cleaned up the contacts in the battery slot as over time if not used them can be dusty and grimy and not conduct the power from the battery well to allow the PC to boot.

also barebone them and only have one HDD and CD/DVD connected if they have multiples.

We will ask for OS, because we can gauge how old, and possibly worn the PC is. XP machines which are older can have more troubles as time goes on. Vista machines, well...

Microsoft may ask you to pardon the software.

BUT, truth be told age is a big indicator for diagnosing problems.

    Hello

    They are about 3-5 years

As for OS, it really doesn't matter because I am running Windows server 2012.

Ran fine before crash on several pcs.

    Gigabyte
    -GA-G41M-ES2L

    And an unknown one
    model: PSP3-VM

    The unknown uses ddr1 ram

Battery is not an issue and never has been as any pc can boot without one.

As before stated the pc's boot with one error '00'

tee fiddling with another I think it has something to do t
    With the MB.

But I can't figure exactly how to sort it out without having to replace the MBs
And ddr1 MBs are hard to find now days.

OK, light hardware running low overhead.

I personally haven't run Server 2012, don't have a need for it in the home, SO...

Anyone else care to chime in?

Microsoft error codes are much longer than two digits...

Is the CPU locked in the socket OK?
