old rca 8mm camcorder

    I have a RCA pro8 camcorder, I can't even get it to turn on (yes it's plugged in) I am getting the tapes transferred to dvd but need this to work this week.
    Is there some sort of reset on this old relic. I think this camera is about 20 yrs
    old. I had about 20 tapes that disappeared some 10 yrs ago and they were found and I would like to show them to my kids. The players are non existant.
    any thoughts??:confused
