Older game issues

Ok I recently downloaded Quarentine and Quarentine 2. Quarentine runs way to fast and shuts down after about 30 sec of being on. Quarentine 2 seems to run ok speed wise but shuts down after about 30-45 sec. System stats are

AMD 1400mhz
512 RAM
40 gig HD
60 gig HD
Win XP Home service pack 2
ATI Radeon 7000 series with 64mb RAM (I know its old and I need a new one)
Creative Sound Blaster Live Series


I dont know if there is some program to make the games work on newer computers but any help is appreciated. I have been looking for these games for awhile now and to find em and not be able to play is frustrating. Thx
