On board video to pci Express x16 ?

    Gentlemen
    I have a hp comp.It has onboard video
    It has 1. pci express x16 slot.
    I want to install a video card (Fall out 3 is killing me with frame rate)

    Due i have to stick with express x16 or can i use express 2.0 x16?

    You should be able to use either as far as I know: (from another site) PCIe 2.0 is backward compatible with PCIe v1.x. Graphic cards and motherboards designed for v2.0 will be able to work with v1.1 and v1.0.
