one way networking problem

my desktop computer w\win xp pro will share
all files and internet connection with with
my laptop w\win xp pro BUT my desktop cannot
get any files off my laptop
i uninstall the drivers on laptop a number
of times tried to set diff things in configurations
but no luck any ideas
