OneTouch Mini External HDD Problem

Hello,

I just purchased this hard drive.

The device isnt recognized in the Disk Managment screen.

The USB properties says its working fine.

I get no prompt to format the drive when I plug it in.

The software saying it cannot format the drive.

Any recommendations on how to do a force format to a drive without a letter?

Im currently using windows xp home.

Click start and then right click "computer" on the menu click "manage" on the open screen double click "disk management" and there you will see all the drives on your PC if one does not have a letter that's the one you are looking for right click on it and you will get a menu first give it a letter or name then format it and after that you should be able to see it.
