Outinfo will not deinstall

    I am going through the "Malware removalguide" and I have already hit a road block. I tried uninstalling "Outerinfo" in the Add/Remove programs and I get a dialog that wants me to go to a website and download an uninstall program. That sounds really fishy to me. How do I get rid of this crud?

    Run the below and then just continue on with the rest of the READ & RUN ME.


    1. Download this file - combofix.exe
    2. Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
    3. When finished, it will produce a log ( c:\combofix.txt ) for you. Attach this log to your next reply
    Note:

    Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.

    Note: running the above adds one more log to the list that is requested in the READ & RUN ME. Thus you should be attaching 7 logs when you return.
