Outlook07 maximum size

    my outlook 2007 is always at maximum size - it is currently at 1.8gig
    - when I delete files does the .pst file buried in Doc.& Settings reduce automatically?
    - I just don't have time to spend hours sifting through thousands of mails - is there any way that I can back up only selected folders & delete them or do I always have to back up the complete 'Personal Folders'?
