Outpost free firewall, MS Malicious Software Removal Tool

Hello,

I've had the Outpost Free firewall installed for a few days now, and things are going well. I'm just wondering if it plays nicely with the Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool. I would be interested in hearing from other users of Outpost Free firewall who have run Microsoft's malicious software removal tool. Any problems/conflicts?

This is on a Windows XP Pro SP2 system, running AVG free 8.5 and Malwarebytes resident, with no conflicts with the MS software thus far. But I haven't used it with Outpost yet. I run the MS software monthly with the Windows updates.

I'm asking because back when I used ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite, I never saw anything untoward, but when others on their forums mentioned a problem, I check my Event Viewer and, sure enough, there were errors, so I stopped using the MS MSRT while I had ZASS.

 

OK, since I've run the tool now, I'll answer my own question in case anyone else is wondering about this. There were no problems at all between OP and the MS malicious software removal tool.
