Hey guys, i have a Nvidia MX400 64 mb PCI video card. I really need to over clock it cause i dont have the money to upgrade to a 128. I have proper cooling plus i have a lot of fans in my case. I have a mini fan that i attached to the card itself. Can u guys help me optimize my card to run faster then 64?

    Thanks guys

I got Riva Tuner like some people had said on other forums. How do i use it? Can i get some solid instructions? Thanks Guys!

i use riva tuner myself, its a bit tricky to get into, i played around with it and taught myself

firstly from main page(under target adapter) click your mouse over the little square with a triangle innit, this should bring up a some another picture menu,

select the first 1: low levelsystem settings
you should see 2 slider bars which operate memory frequency and core frequency
increase 1 at a time in small increments, (about 2mhz) i think you may have to reboot or something each time, (its been along time since i o/c my gforce)

you then need to check for artifacts!
keep going until you get some, back off a little and voila
make sure to keep settings on each reboot

    oops. ignore above instructions
goto riva main page, select customize in driver settings window NOT LOW LEVEL settings,
    select first picture (system settings)
2 slider bars, adjust as previous instructions

thank you so much bro ^^

but how do i check if that my over clocking was a success? Like how do i tell the difference ? will i have a good difference in my video card performace?

If you have a nvidia card you can look into installing coolbits. I use a 5950 ultra and am stable at a 500/1000 overlock, but that card has great cooling on it. I dunno what kinda cooling your card has it may be a risky venture OCing one of those older Nvidia cards, but if your heart is set on it look at getting coolbits. Once it is installed right click on your desktop go to properties>settings>advanced. click on the tab that shows your video card, go to clock frequency settings, check manual overclocking, and from there either play with the bars or better yet click detect optimal frequencies. Click fan always on and apply these settings at startup. Voila your done. Don't blame me if you fry your card...

I wouldn't suggest overclocking that card, but if your heart is set on it then be very careful, as it doesn't appear to have a fan. Would hate to see you kill a perfectly good card for the minumal gain you will get, being it is a PCI card. ;)

you might be better off spending some cash on an agp card.

if not, clock it till it burns!
then youll have to get a new one, go for it!
