overclocking

Ok this is what I got:

Nvidia AN8 Ultra motherboard, AMD 3700 processor,
1 gig ram, 250 gig SATA harddrive, nvidia 6600 graphics

Windows XP professional SP2 fully patched & upgraded

It runs like a dream, I have no complaints but some1 told me that you can safely overclock AMD processors by 10% is this true?

I have the AMD CPU fan that came with the chipset, so I don't wanna risk burning it out.

If it can be done I know it has to be done in BIOS, but I am a newbie & don't know how. I know it is something to do with multiples, but could some one give me an idiots guide?

Make a new thread in the OC forum...

 

Or one of the mods will move it .... First read the overclocking guide. If most of it goes over your head overclocking is not for you. OCing is not for noobs. But hey ya gatta start someware right ......
