    Whats a upc?

If it's your CPU 41c at idle Thats warm, What's the Load temp
I'd suggest keep the Max temp to 50c or less ( higher temps will shorten it's life, once your over 60c noticeable problem's began to occur such as crash/freeze up's)

Whats about your graphics card any temps listed in Everest? GPU temp?

A couple other things that can cause crashing, weak PSU or Bad er failing memory

I noticed your specs say "Windows XP SP1"
    Your not running SP2, Why?
    Not legit?

106 F/41c is not toooo high, you might try posting a screen shot like this
    [IMG]

You can use ScreenHunter 5.0 to capture link http://www.wisdom-soft.com/products/screenhunter_free.htm

I'd like to see your PSU voltages, it could also be a RAM problem, but first try to post a screen shot of Everest if you can. Hope that Helps

ok guys i should be on sp2, its the real window.
    Temperatures:
    Motherboard 43 °C (109 °F)
    CPU 51 °C (124 °F)
    GPU 48 °C (118 °F)
    GPU Ambient 41 °C (106 °F)

    well game play Temperatures:
    Motherboard 44 °C (115 °F)
    CPU 66 °C (154 °F)
    GPU 65 °C (149 °F)
    GPU Ambient 45 °C (117 °F)

Yikes! Your temps are dangerous, as I said a XP2100 over 60C is a problem & will be problematic

Your GPU is probably OK if the Temp reading is acurate? Most VC's can run hotter

Also note most temps sensors are not very accurate, in reality your temps could be Hotter or cooler, but since your Ambient is close to your MOBO temp I'll call it good

    Better get some better cooling

I'm 30 miles north of Chicago, I use IE spell "LOL"
I'd like to go to Aus, but I'll need a room with AC :)

The reason I wanted a screenshot was to see your Temps as well as your Voltages LOW VOLTAGE = HIGH TEMPS, you may simply have a PSU that is putting out low voltage yank101. Hope that Helps

The Only way to accurately test Voltages is with a Multimeter
How to test PSU voltages http://www.ochardware.com/articles/psuvolt/psuvolt.html

I've never seen low voltages cause high temps?
Seeing your ambient temps are high I highly doubt voltages is of any issue here.

Yank, ya might reset your CPU with some good Thermal Paste, AS5 or my favorite Artic Ceramique ( dont forget to clean both CPU & HS first)
Case Air flow can be very important to proper cooling

A great aftermarket socket A HS is a Thermalright SI-97a http://jab-tech.com/ThermalRight-SI-97A-pr-2999.html The only thing that might be better is water cooling

ASUS thanks for all your help!!! iam looking in to the Thermalright, i didnt know anything about it before. i dont have a volt meter but i could use one on more then the pc.
one thing i did was update the chipsets from compaq and change my AGP speed from +1 to + 4, its running a little cooler and iam not getting any crashes,,,,,,, i bookmarked the SI-97 site cheers
