overriding with xp 64-bit

    I have an exe i need to install, but it will not allow me to install it, as i am using windows xp proffesional 64-bit. i have tried properties>compatability, but this does not seem to work. Any advice?

    If the program is not XP64 compatible, even using compatibility mode won't help. Try contacting the program's creator(s) for an XP64 version, or a patch or update....

    but i cant even install the .exe, so how can i patch it?

    He's not suggesting you patch it; he is suggesting you contact the program's support to see if they are working on either a patch or an updated version that will work on 64 bit computers.
