Oxc0000005 Pop Up

    We have Windows Vista 64 Bit. Not every time when shutting down I get a pop up saying Oxc 0000005 And associated to a file that can't read the number. What is this and how can you stop it from coming up?

    the file it can't find is somewhat important.

    What you can do first is press F8 when the computer is starting up so you can open a command prompt. Type in 'chkdsk c: /r' and press enter. Note anything that gets fixed or any bad sectors found.

    Possible it is malware related, be sure to do a syystem scan. Malwarebytes or Superantispyware are good choices. As Senlis mentioned, if you can catch a word or two of the application causing the error, that would help!
