Paladin Antivirus Trojan

Hello new here i found this website via google.
I have a question earlier this afternoon while surfing cnet my computer randomly caught the Paladin Antivirus Trojan.

It kept trying to install paladin on my computer and giving me messages that i have viruses on my computer at that point i started backing up person files to my external drive while paladin kept trying to install itself and i used the task manager to force quit the task before it can install. I tried installing Microsoft Malicious removal tool but it wouldn't let me run the program or any other program.

My question now is after all that i decided to run my recovery dvd that i created when i first bought the PC in 2008, does this format the entire drive and remove the trojan? the computer is running fine now. I ran MBAM and scanned all drives and it comes up nothing all files are clear ran Microsoft malicious removal tool and showed clean also same with windows defender (im sunning Windows Vista btw).

Does this mean im in the clear now? I dont have to worry bout having my identity being stolen or anything like that do i?
